Group initially (1992-1995) acted as Atban Klann. Under this name was carried out album for the label, Ruthless Records (run by Eazy-E), but was not released. After the death of Eazy-E caused by AIDS in 1995, the band changed their name to Black Eyed Peas and released their debut album entitled. Behind the Front (199 , which gained critical acclaim.
